I posted an artist call to women with armpit hair. I was overwhelmed with joy when I saw the positive response and feedback. Turns out, there are women EVERYWHERE who are truly just fearlessly existing and sharing the real meaning of love in this world. I want to meet them. I want to know them. I want to be in their presence. I am inspired by them. They do not tread in the waters of our objectifying society. They are independent of labels and constraint. They are beautiful, pure, and so incredibly special. I am very grateful for them.
The journey to self-discovery never ends. As my project (Masculine de La FEMME) grows, so does my creative evolution. It's like when you first meet someone, and if you find them interesting enough, you spend as much time with them to get to know them more. Why do they intrigue you so much? You spend more and more time with them, realizing, that you are really just getting to know yourself better. This person, place, or thing, is a reflection of you. A reflection of your heart. A reflection of the inner child within you, looking to find answers, finding the portal to new and endless discoveries. You're fragile, discontent, and restless .... because what it is you're waiting to fall in love with, has already fallen in love with you. So take care of it, because it has brought you into its circle of trust. Don't break it.
Ideas come and go like sand crabs quickly digging their way back into the earth. Sometimes ideas are meant to float on by like a passing cloud in the sky. But if this idea comes to you, over and over again. That phone call you keep screening, it's probably time you get up and just do it, and make it your friend. That idea is the messenger, and you are the vessel that carries it's vision to the source that needs it most.
Whatever job you have, becomes a job, and the "Action" to the "Idea" becomes your life, the art of your purpose. No one, but the Divine God can tell you who you are, but YOU. Don't live too closely with worldly possessions or pleasure. Don't let it own you, you are an earthly being having a relationship with the spiritual experience. The money you make will come and go, and it does not define you. The relationship with money is complex, a never ending black hole for the pursuit of happiness. Rather than thinking "You have to take care of it for it to take care of you" reverse it "I have to take care of me and have love in my heart, so this is what I need to do to fulfill that", I told a dear friend the other day, "I love being creative, but in this world - I need to be in love with money, and it is just so impossible for me to feel that way". Give yourself some credit, you are already so valuable and worthy of happiness.
