ABOUT ME:

I am an American-Filipino, multi-faceted creative based in Los Angeles. I work freelance as a Creative Director, Photographer, and Wardrobe Stylist. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned brands including Barton Perreira, Timberland, Toyota, American Express, as well as a variety of boutique brands that I absolutely adore.

Whether I am working as part of a larger team or independently managing a production, I firmly believe that the success of any campaign hinges on a few key factors: a strong and collaborative team, a compelling concept, and a touch of creative freedom. These elements allow the magic to happen and bring a campaign to life.

Off the clock, I am making absurd skits with my fiance, finding yummy restaurants to dine in with good friends or making attempts to cook something edible, getting to travel to different parts of the world with my point and shoot camera, exploring different cultures by forging deep conversations, and immersing myself in breathtaking landscapes.

 

CREATIVE DIRECTION:

In my role as a Freelance Creative Director, I'm dedicated to guiding brands in discovering an authentic voice that resonates amidst the clamor of a crowded market. I believe in reconnecting with the audience by weaving together a compelling narrative steeped in kindness, warmth, and the allure of nature and beauty. My true passion lies in crafting original, heartfelt content through the art of storytelling.

While I'm deeply involved in the actionable planning and creative strategy, I cherish the collaboration with my exceptional team of creatives. Together, we foster an environment of unwavering support, akin to a closely-knit family, to uplift and bring to life the visions we believe in.

WARDROBE STYLING:

I have worked in the fashion industry since 2008, globally servicing multiple brands as a rep and establishing relationships with retail department and boutique stores. Naturally - and because I love working with people and projects on a more personable level - I branched off into becoming a wardrobe stylist for ads, commercial, film, and musicians. This has allowed me to stay closely connected to what’s current while integrating classic silhouettes, ultimately creating looks that holds up as trends come and go.

I lean towards styles that are “timeless and beautiful, with an edge.” A style that ages with grace, never retires, yet still cultivates an iconic look that can be revisited time and time again. It’s all about moving the needle, of their own expression.

I pull from my inner world and love to nature, artists like Patti Smith and Robert Maplethorpe, films like “In the Mood for Love” and “Paris, Texas”, and playing Joy Division / New Order on repeat.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

I have a travel and portraiture approach. Bridging the gap between art, connection, and sometimes commerce. My curiosity to understanding humanity led me to commissioned work in commercial, fashion, and music. A big part of what makes me who I am, is how much I enjoy connecting with others and bringing out the most genuine expression of the subject. Before we know it, we’ll find ourselves laughing together, sharing hilarious stories with one another, or exploring abstract ideas together.

Working with others through the lens of a camera can be an intimate space, so it’s important for me to understand, study, and research the nature of a set and vibe, before the shoot. In any case, I’ve made photography the excuse to create unique experiences by allowing myself to live and move in ways that deepen curiosity and connection with the world we get to live in - ultimately - bringing this same life force that is uniquely shared to benefit the subject, client, or idea.

CO-FOUNDER OF WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

PUBLICATION:

MASCULINE DE LA FEMME:
I started an online publication advocating women empowerment and gender fluidity, in 2015; highlighting and featuring any one person who is deeply passionate about the inspiration of their true calling. The publication is called, Masculine de La Femme, and was also co-founded with fine-art photographer, Dan Monick . The stills are gorgeous and are shot on black & white film with natural light, no production or lights, and the artist is encouraged to come with little to no-makeup. These portraits and short films have been featured in galleries and art pop-ups throughout Los Angeles, specifically with Into Action Art Pop-Up in 2018, Analogue Portrait Project by MOPLA and A Feminist Perspective by We Choose Art.
